Week 89 — back to it?
Feels like every time I post it’s a “short week”. I should totally go back through past posts and work out how many times I say that ;) We had Monday off this week in the ACT for ANZAC day, I spent it doing some house work, gardening, reading and catching up on all the AI news.
I’ve also been finally getting around to doing some re-decorating. I picked up some lamps, rugs, and a throw from IKEA over the week to make things a bit more cosy as we get in to the cold parts of Autumn. Also got a table, chair and tunnel for Sebby now that he’s running around and can sit at tables. It’s really cute seeing him sitting at his table to draw 😊
Last week I introduced Clare to The Castle and we were both amazed at how pervasive a lot of the text is throughout modern Australian culture! For someone who hadn’t seen it before, being able to be like “ohhh that’s where that’s from” was a really fun moment!
I’ve also been working on an iOS and macOS app for grouse.site. Something I have wanted to do since I built the web version, but never had the time. But thanks to Claude, I’ve been able to chip away at bits and get help where I have been stuck! Which is great, because I cannot decipher half of Apple’s documentation (when it’s present!)
I’ve been growing some veggies in the garden this year. At the moment that’s just peas, spring onions, kale, lettuce, and silver beet (though some pumpkin has emerged from the compost!!). The peas have really taken off, to the point that I am worried I’m going to have too many peas!! But we’ll see if they all survive :) I picked up a trellis from Bunnings at the weekend to set them climbing, though I need to rearrange them a bit so they all have their own space to climb!
